YouTube Interface Redesign

For my Interface Design final project, I decided to redesign the YouTube interface. I created a high-fidelity prototype for the Home, Subscriptions, and Playlists tabs. The idea of the redesign is to help make the site clear of its clutter, especially on the home page. The redesign focuses on organizing all the content to be completely user-specific, similar to a modern streaming site, such as Netflix. This allows the user to more quickly access new videos from their favorite channels, or perhaps find videos that are more relevant to their interests. For example, the first category the user will see is the recommended category. See the PowerPoint slide show above (unavailable on mobile) to see my workflow towards the prototype.

If you would like to see the prototype in action, click the link below. Please keep in mind that due to technical difficulties and limitations with Adobe XD, the horizontal scrolling buttons are not clickable (use the mouse to scroll horizontally instead), and some of the icons do not show on the side. The Playlists button is not visible on the side because of this, but it is still clickable.

This was made in Adobe XD.
